Can't come to us? We'll come to you!
As Orange County continues to grow, the public sector faces many complex challenges in providing services to maintain and enhance our quality of life. Several of these issues revolve around water, including our ability to provide reliable sources of clean water as well as efficiently processing wastewater in a way that protects the environment and public health for all of us.
At the Orange County Sanitation District, helping you understand how we meet these challenges is an important part of our mission, because a more informed public helps us to do our job better. With a goal of enhancing these public education efforts for the 2.6 million people we serve, the Orange County Sanitation District has launched a formal speakers' bureau.
Our mission is to make you more aware of the programs, services, issues and problems facing all of us now and in the years to come.
Topics we can offer include:
- A general overview of how we process more than 180 million gallons of wastewater each day
- An overview of our $3.25 billion capital improvement program
- Our ocean monitoring efforts
- Our environmental protection programs
With over 600 employees, we can arrange for scientists, engineers, environmental experts and other professionals specializing in all areas of wastewater treatment to speak to your business, community or school group. We can come to you, or you can visit our plant in Fountain Valley for a tour and a first-hand look at how we take wastewater and make it clean again.
